Woodpigeon are described by the Guardian today as "Canada's best-kept secret … the most unjustly overlooked band in Canada" which I completely agree with. Their melodic and instrumental Indie music can easily be compared to Belle and Sebastian or Arcade Fire with a huge group of people playing a huge amount of instruments to create some lovely music.
They recently played at End Of the Road festival near my parents home in Dorset in possibly the most amazing setting for a folk/indie festival that you can imagine, check that out here and book your tickets for next year if you're into that kind of genre. I highly recommend it.
